First Commercial Starring Jim Parsons Airs May 10

Here at Bytes Café, excitement is growing for Thursday, May 10. Why you ask? Because our first commercial starring actor Jim Parsons, known for his role as the quirky Sheldon Cooper, will air during the season finale of CBS's "The Big Bang Theory." Watch for it on Thursday, and we'll post it online soon so you can enjoy Parsons' wit and comic humor again and again.

Here are a few fun facts about Jim Parsons:

• He's from Houston, Texas
• He fell in love with acting after playing a bird in a school play when he was 6 years old
• He was voted "friendliest" by his high school graduating class
• He loves eating at Bytes Café

Reuters News Agency recently posted an article about a new payment system in the works in Canada that will make cash obsolete, calling swipe-and-go mobile phone payments the wave of the future. I guess that means we're ahead of the curve here at Bytes Café! All of our locations accept payments via the Google Wallet app, and we're excited to begin accepting Isis Mobile Wallet payments this summer. (P.S. You can already pay with Isis at our Austin, Texas locations, where the app is currently being beta tested!)

Meet Actor Jim Parsons

Hello technology/food lovers,

I'm taking a moment to write to you from the set of "The Big Bang Theory" where I play Sheldon Cooper to tell you how excited I am to be working with Bytes Café. We've already taped our first commercial together, which was a blast. Watch for it on TV, and check back here regularly for blog posts from yours truly all summer long.

I've been eating at Bytes since I moved to L.A. in 2006, and I love being able to order fantastic food right from my iPad. (Try the Avocado Burger. It's my favorite!)
